DC Comics has recently introduced Justice League: Endless Winter, their crossover event for the season. When the Justice League responds to a cry for help in the arctic they discover a massive blizzard covering the region. An excavation team accidentally uncovered the ancient evil beneath the ice. It just so happened that the exact location where The Frost King was trapped in ice was also the location of Superman’s former Fortress of Solitude.
Because of the Fortress of Solitude’s Kryptonian energy, an enhanced Frost King has been unleashed upon the Earth. This is not the 1st Justice League he has battled. The villain has also traded blows with Justice League Viking, a 10th century Justice League. The Justice League Viking team consisted of Wonder Woman’s mother Hippolyta, Black Adam, Swamp Thing, and Viking Prince.

After easily defending himself against Superman and the league, The Frost King disappears after vowing to exact his revenge on the world. Frost King triggers a global weather disaster that engulfs the entire Earth in a vicious blizzard. To defeat this ancient villain DC’s most popular team of heroes will have to recruit some help. It’s a race against time to free the world from the icy grip of The Frost King.
The stakes are high and the team has more questions than answers. Who is this ancient villain and who did he confuse them for? How do they put an end to this violent winter storm? Readers will find out as the Endless Winter saga continues across titles. The adventure continues in The Flash #767.
