Amber Myers Q&A
Q1: How long have you wanted to play Batgirl?
A1: I have always wanted to be Batgirl for as long as I can remember, the Bat family has been one of my favorite groups of hero’s since I was a little girl.
Q2: How much time have you spent preparing for this role? What do you use to inspire your performance? (objects, experiences, memories, training, media)
A2: For the first episode we had no budget or team, so it was extremely hard to do. For this second episode we have a full team with an amazing cast! We are preparing and gathering everything we need to make this the best episode possible, we are currently almost done with wardrobe and working our way to our first table read next month!
Q3: What was the most important aspect of the character that you felt you needed to capture?
A3: The most important part of Babs I personally wanted to capture is her spunk and her courage. She never gives up and always believes in herself and always does the right thing.
Q4: What is your dream collaboration?(actors, directors)
A4:My dream collaboration would have to be with the actor Florence Pugh. Her work is outstanding and I feel like she is a great role model. Her work in Midsommar is my favorite! I would love to be in a movie similar to that!
Q5: What do you hope viewers and fans get from this project?
A5: I really hope the viewers see how much dedication the team put into this project. We all worked so hard and really want to make something enjoyable.
Q6: What’s next for you?
A6: What’s next? I am currently working on micro films, short films and the 48 hour film festival. I am also patiently waiting for Prodigal(s) to come out along with some past projects that got pushed back due to Covid! So much fun stuff!
